What is Naked Eye Photo? [aside from my happy place]

Here is a little history.

As a high school student I developed a love for what I consider 'raw' art/photography. That is art/photography developed with the naked eye.

In art, I prefer and practice drawing and sketching and painting without guidelines, props, tracing or photocopiers; work that comes from the genuine mind and eye of the artist. Compilations and such can be great, but there is something amazing about an artists who practices with what God gave him.

In photography, I'm amazed by shots that come as naturally as you saw them when you found the subject matter. In my film photography, I don't use filters or fancy lighting; only my eye and my camera [and maybe a tripod].

This is where the name comes from. As a senior in high school I was determined to do something with my photography. UT Chattanooga did not offer Photography as a major, so I majored in Graphic Design...which I now have a morbid hatred for.

So with an honest effort, I try daily not to ruin my love for photography. I sell a photo or two here and there, I even shoot weddings for close friends, but mostly Naked Eye Photo is what would have been a career and is now just a therapeutic hobby.
